Based on many factors, the ratio of CMAT score vs CMAT percentile changes every year. The factors are:

1. The number of students sitting for the exam – This year, around 70,000 students are expected to register for CMAT 2025. This means only the top 1000 rankers can expect admission to the most popular programs in JBIMS, PUMBA, SIMSREE, etc. The competition for seats in these colleges intensifies further because they also accept scores from other exams such as MAH MBA CET, ATMA, MAT, CAT, and XAT.

Fortunately, many great colleges also accept CMAT scores in the 80%ile to 95%ile range. You can check out those colleges below.

• Total seats available – The total number of seats available in the participating colleges can change the cutoffs. Usually, most colleges add new seats every few years based on demand.
• Difficulty level of the paper – Unlike most other entrance exams, the CMAT exam is considered to be of low difficulty level. However, due to the low difficulty, the cutoffs are usually sky-high.

CMAT cutoff 2025 (Expected)

Below, we’ve collated the CMAT cutoff (percentile) data for the most preferred colleges of CMAT candidates. We’ve included the expected cutoffs for 2025 along with past years’ cutoffs.

JBIMS CMAT cutoff

JBIMS is one of the best colleges in the country for its core management program. Considered by many to be at par with the IIMs due to its record placements, one can expect the JBIMS CMAT cutoff to reach beyond 99.99%ile.

SIMSREE CMAT cutoff

SIMSREE is another college well-known for the enviable ROI of its management programs. Students flock here, again pushing the SIMSREE CMAT cutoffs to around 99.95-99.97.

Welingkar CMAT cutoff

Welingkar has rebranded itself as the WeSchool with branches in Mumbai and Bangalore. Over the years, it has shown remarkable growth in the quality of its incoming student body and final placements. Welingkar CMAT cutoffs are expected to be above 85 %ile this year.

PUMBA CMAT cutoff

The Department of Management Sciences, Pune University, offers one of the highest ROIs in the country for its core MBA program. Expectedly, the PUMBA CMAT cutoff is on the higher end at 99.92%.

NL Dalmia CMAT cutoff

The highest package for the 2023 MBA batch at NL Dalmia stood at 25.5 LPA, making it one of the top choices in and around Mumbai. And unlike the colleges mentioned above, the NL Dalmia CMAT cutoff is a bit lower at 90%, making it easier for students to get in.

NIBM CMAT cutoff

NIBM Pune is primarily known for its PGDM in the B&FS domain, which has been producing high-calibre banking professionals for decades. The NIBM CMAT cutoff will hover around 90%, depending on the number of applicants and CMAT difficulty levels. 

XIME CMAT cutoff

With an average package of nearly Rs. 11 lakh, XIME Bangalore has quickly climbed the ranks of the best management institutes in Bangalore. While there is no minimum XIME CMAT cutoff, students should ideally target a score above 80%ile to maximise their chances.
