After much delay, the MBA CET CAP round registration for the MAH MBA CET exam started on July 12th, 2024. Candidates who appeared for the MAH MBA CET exam are eligible to sit for the CAP admission rounds. Students who appeared for various other tests, such as CAT, CMAT, MAT, and ATMA, are also eligible. The last date to register for the MBA CET CAP round was 22nd July 2024. It has since been revised to 27th July 2024.
The MAG MBA CET CAP round is the common counselling process conducted by the CET Cell of Maharashtra for admission to over 300 colleges across the state. Many top colleges such as JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, Welingkar, Chetana, Dalmia, MET, SIES, and COEP conduct admissions through the MBA CET CAP round. A point to note is that CAP rounds are only held for admission to MMS and MBA programs. Those pursuing PGDM courses will have to apply individually to each college
Usually, there are three official CAP rounds, held one after the other. If vacancies in college seats persist, then additional spot rounds will be held. Usually, the process is spread out over 2 months, but this time it is expected to be condensed into just a few days. The process begins with MAH MBA CET CAP round registration, followed by the release of the merit list. After the merit list is out, students can fill out their college preferences according to which they are allotted seats. If they are allotted their first preference, they are not allowed to sit for subsequent rounds. However, students who do not get their first preference can choose to float their allotment and sit for the next CAP round.
