About CMAT

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance examination for entry into management programmes. The CMAT is a three-hour computer-based online test that is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.

This CMAT facilitates AICTE-affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.

The CMAT result is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/ University Departments/ Constituent Colleges/ Affiliated Colleges.

CMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to take the CMAT exam.
• Candidates appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) can also apply for the CMAT exam.
• No requirement for securing a minimum score (50% or 45%) in graduation for CMAT.
• There is no age restriction for the CMAT.
• The candidate must be a citizen of India to take the CMAT.

CMAT Test Structure

• Mode: Computer-based
• Test Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
• Type of Questions: MCQs
• Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answers & -1 for unanswered/unattempted questions.
• No Individual time limit to attempt the CMAT question paper. Candidates can attempt any question from any section within the overall CMAT exam time limit
