CUET, or Common University Entrance Test, is one of India’s most popular national-level entrance examinations. The students who clear CUET can enroll in 250+ of the 14 central universities and state universities nationwide for UG and PG programs. The National Testing Agency(NTA), an autonomous body established by the Ministry of Education under the Department of Higher Education, will release the CUET syllabus on the portal for all subjects.
The NTA conducts CUET to attract highly qualified applicants to premier higher education institutions’ undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The CUET exam will be held separately and will be a compulsory test for admission into various UG courses at central universities, BHU, JNU, Delhi University, etc.

The Common University Entrance test (CUET) consists of three main sections: domain-subject, language, and general. Aspirants for UG admission will be tested on their knowledge and understanding of their chosen subjects through an online MCQ-based paper.
Below is the sectional division for CUET 2024:
Section IA– 13 languages
Section IB– 20 languages
Section II- 27 domain-specific subjects

The CUET UG Syllabus 2024 will be the same as the one for NCERT class 12.

National Testing Agency has officially announced that the CUET UG syllabus will include the entire NCERT class 12 syllabus. The CUET 2024 syllabus is anticipated to remain the same.
Students’ fluency in the language will be tested through reading comprehension questions based on various passages, including facts, literary, poems, narratives, grammar, and books & authors.
The following are the languages covered in Sections IA and IB, respectively.
German, Chinese, Arabic, French, Japanese, Italian, Russian, Nepali, Tibetan, Spanish, Bodo, Dogri, Konkani, Kashmiri, Manipuri, Maithili, Sindhi, and Santhali.
The CUET exam syllabus for domain-specific subjects will be the same as the NCERT syllabus for Class XII. It is best to prepare for domain-specific exams using NCERT books.

The CUET biology exam syllabus covers physical anthropology, prehistoric archaeology, social anthropology, material culture and economic anthropology, social anthropology, ecology, and ethnography.
The CUET physics exam syllabus includes current electricity, electrostatics, magnetic effect of recent and magnetism, electromagnetic induction and alternating current, optics, atoms and nuclei, electromagnetic waves, communication systems and the dual nature of matter and radiation.
The CUET Chemistry exam syllabus comprises topics including solid state, polymers, chemical kinetics, coordination compounds, surface chemistry, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, p-block elements, general processes and principles of isolation of elements, d and f-block elements, phenols and ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic acids, organic compounds comprising biomolecules, nitrogen, electrochemistry and chemistry in everyday life.
The CUET Computer Science exam syllabus includes topics like database concepts, SQL, exception and file handling in Python, stack, computer networks, sorting, queue, understanding data, database query using SQL, data handling using Pandas- 1, data handling using Pandas-II, societal impacts, plotting data using Matpolotlib, data communication, and security aspects.
CUET History syllabus comprises topics including world history, ancient civilizations, modern history, the story of the first cities of Harappan archaeology, social histories using the Mahabharata, political and economic history, History of Buddhism: Sanchi Stupa, Agrarian relations The Ain-i-Akbari, The Mughal Court: Reconstructing histories through Chronicles, Religious Histories: The Bhakti-Sufi tradition, Medival Society through Travellers’ Accounts, Colonialism and Rural Society: Evidence from Official Reports, Representations of 1857, Partition through Oral Sources, Mahatma Gandhi through Contemporary Eyes, Colonialism and Indian Towns: Town Plans and Municipal Reports and The Making of the Constitution.
6. CUET Political Science Syllabus:
The CUET political science syllabus includes topics like international relations, political theory, comparative politics, politics in India since independence, and contemporary world politics.
The syllabus comprises human geography: Nature and Scope, People, Human Activities, Communication and Trade, Transport, Human Settlements, and India: People and Economy.
The CUET Sociology Syllabus covers social institutions: social inequality and exclusion, continuity and change, the challenges of unity in diversity, social change and polity, social change in India, social change and the economy, arenas of social change and social movements.
This section of the CUET Psychology syllabus includes variations in personality and self, psychological attributes, meeting life challenges, psychological disorders, therapeutic approaches, attitude, and social cognition, developing psychological skills, psychology, and life and social influence and group processes.
The business studies syllabus consists of various areas of business management and organizational behaviour, such as the nature and importance of management, principles of management, business environment, organizing, planning, staffing, directing, controlling, business finance, marketing, financial markets, consumer protection, and entrepreneurship development.
The CUET Accountancy Syllabus comprises topics like accounting not-for-profit organizations, accounting for partnerships, dissolution of partnership firms, reconstitution of partnerships, accounting for share and debenture capital, analysis of financial statements, statement of changes in financial position, overview of computerized accounting system, using computerized accounting system, accounting using database management system (DBMS) and accounting applications of electronics spreadsheet.
The CUET English syllabus 2024 comprises reading comprehension of different passages, including vocabulary, factual, literary and narrative, literary aptitude, verbal ability, reading comprehension, rearranging the parts, choosing the correct word, synonyms and antonyms.
The CUET physical education syllabus comprises topics like exercise physiology, sports science, training methods, fitness training, sociological aspects of physical education, health education, and health problems, career aspects in physical education, sports injuries and first aid, biomechanics and sports, test, and measurement in sports, and psychology and sport.
The CUET Economics Syllabus comprises topics like introduction, consumer behaviour, and demand, forms of market and price determination, determination of income and employment, simple applications of tools of demand and supply curves, money and banking, introductory macroeconomics, the balance of payments and government budget and the economy.
This section comprises laws, judiciary, tribunal adjunction, arbitration, human rights in India, alternative dispute resolution, legal services, legal maxims, the legal profession in India, and the international context.
The CUET Entrepreneurship syllabus comprises entrepreneurial planning, entrepreneurial opportunity, entrepreneurial marketing, resource mobilization, enterprise, growth and strategies, and business arithmetic.
CUET Sanskrit Syllabus focuses on Sanskrit grammar, Vedic eras, Epics, Education, Politics, Economics, Digital Humanities, Globalization etc and includes topics such ncludes topics such as शब्दरूपाणि- वाक्येषु विभक्तिप्रयोगा, धातुरूपाणि, सन्धयः सन्धिबिच्छेदाः च, समासाः विग्रहाः च, प्रत्यया, उपपदविभक्तिप्रयोगाः, भाषिककार्यम्, उन्दसां सोदाहरणलक्षणपरिचयः /लोकेषु छन्दोऽधिज्ञानम्, शब्दालङ्काराः अर्थालङ्काराः च, संस्कृतसाहित्यस्य सामान्यपरिचयः. 19. CUET Environmental Studies syllabus:
CUET Environmental Science Syllabus includes key topics including third world development, human beings and nature, environmental and natural resource economics, and the environment.
20. CUET Agriculture Syllabus
CUET Agriculture syllabus comprises four units namely agrometeorology, biochemistry and microbiology, genetics and plant breeding, livestock production, crop production, and horticulture.
21. CUET Performing Arts Syllabus
CUET’s Performing Arts Syllabus includes a variety of topics that differ from year to year. Students are assessed on their knowledge and understanding of the components of performing arts, such as dance, music, drama and theatre, and related theoretical content.

25. CUET Engineering Graphics Syllabus
The CUET Engineering Graphics Syllabus 2024 covers machine parts, drawings, rod joints, and isometric projections.
26. CUET Art Education Sculpture Syllabus
CUET Art Education Sculpture Syllabus comprises topics including the concept of The Rajasthani Schools, The Pahari Schools, The Deccani School, The Pahari Schools and Tiller of the Soil-Nandlal Bose, etc.
27. CUET Anthropology Syllabus
CUET Anthropology Syllabus includes topics including prehistoric archaeology, physical anthropology, social anthropology, ecology, and material culture and economic anthropology.

The CUET 2024 syllabus is comprehensive and comprises all key topics asked in the exam. These topics are divided into undergraduate and postgraduate papers. Papers for the CUET exam are further divided into technical and non-technical. Technical papers consist of science and mathematics sections, while non-technical papers have literature, commerce, and others.
NTA has released CUET UG 2024 Application Form on February 27 on the official website.
The last date for submitting the application form is 26th March 2024.
Candidates applying for the 12th-grade exam can also apply for CUET 2024.
CUET 2024 exams will comprise Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) only.
The syllabus of CUET is different for undergraduate and postgraduate exams. The aspirants for the UG exams will get senior secondary-level questions. The topics and questions in the PG paper will be undergraduate-level. Topics and questions will be based on the syllabus.
One mark will be awarded for every correct answer, and ¼ will be deducted for each wrong answer.
